He was born Nov. 4, 1940, in Columbus, Ohio, to James E. Todd and Alice Sexton.
Jim retired as a mechanical engineer, spending most of that time in the automotive parts and beverage industries. He was a member of the U.S. Navy from 1959-63, serving on the USS Monrovia (APA 31) stationed at Norfolk, Va.
Jim was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sandra (Frazier) Todd; children, John (Kelle) Andrews, Jess (Megwyn) Andrews, James (Elizabeth) Todd, and Wonette Todd; and grandchildren, Frazier and Natalie.
Per his wishes, memorial services will be limited to immediate family members. In lieu of flowers, family requests that donations be made in his name to the American Heart Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
Friends may visit at www.robersonfh.com to sign the memory book and extend condolences to the family. Arrangements are by Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel.
