Jane was born on July 15, 1948, to Harvey and Jean (Kotke) Hart in St. Paul, MN. Her stepfather and mother, Phil, and Jean Oswald, raised Jane and her siblings, Dianne, Sandra, John (her twin brother), and James. Jane attended Tennessee Temple University and Cedarville University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 1983. She dedicated her career to teaching in Christian schools and office administration in local churches, making a significant impact in Christian education and ministry.
On February 13, 1976, Jane married Daryl Falde. Daryl immediately proceeded with Jane to the courthouse to adopt Jane’s two young sons, Alan, and Todd, who tragically lost their father, and Jane’s late husband, Merle Johnson, to a deer hunting accident. Daryl and Jane then had two more sons, Leland, and Andrew, and were married for 48 years. Jane will be remembered for her green thumb, producing beautiful gardens and lush landscapes wherever the family lived. She enjoyed playing flute in church, training the many dogs she had, and having family and friends gather to visit. Jane was an active member of local churches and always found ways to help with office administration and serving in the music ministry.
