his residence.
He was born March 19, 1924 in France and moved to Port Charlotte in 1985 from
Park Forrest, Illinois. He was retired tool and die maker for the Ford Motor Company and
a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church of Port Charlotte. He was a veteran of
World War II, serving in the French Army.
Survived by his loving family, his wife of 55 years, Madeleine J. Hammon of
Port Charlotte; two Daniel L. (Darcy) Hammon of Obart, IN and Robert G. (Karla) Hammon of
Park Forrest, IL; and a brother, George (Monique) Hammon of France.
Visitation will be held Friday 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM July 9, 2010 at Roberson Funeral Home
Port Charlotte Chapel with a Catholic Wake Service at 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday 1:00 PM, July 10, 2010 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
