Born Jennie E. Knapp on May 21, 1926 in Caro, Michigan, Jennie a wife, mother and grandmother, lived in Mount Morris, Michigan until relocating to Port Charlotte in 1959 where she worked for the Charlotte County School Board in Food Services until retiring. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Mount Morris Michigan Chapter 474, and is a member of the New Day Christian Church in Port Charlotte.
Jennie is survived by her children, sons Albert Cummings of West Palm, FL, and Arthur Cummings of Spirit Lake, IA; daughter Elizabeth Cummings of Ray City, GA; step-sons Thomas Walsh of Liberty, SC, John Walsh of Brockton, MA, and Mark Walsh of Port Charlotte, FL; one sister, Betty Putnam of Redmond, OR, 8 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 1 step-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert P. Walsh.
