Jennifer Christine Tower, 51, of North Port, Florida, was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 8, 1972. She was the youngest of three sisters.
She is survived by her two older sisters Lorri and Lisa, her half-siblings Ed and Angela, her stepbrother Michael, and her mom and stepfather Cindy and Oscar.
Jennifer, or Jen, as we loved to call her, was known for her warm heart and exceptional kindness and generosity. From her unassuming beginnings, she grew into a woman who would wear multiple hats – a paralegal, business owner, and a realtor – all while also ministering to others in her church and community. Jennifer’s family moved from Columbus, Ohio to Venice, Florida, where she graduated from Venice High School in 1990. She married the love of her life, Rob Tower, on October 21, 2000.
Jennifer began her professional journey as a paralegal. She then took up the role of a realtor, most recently at Keller Williams. Eventually, Jennifer started her own business, ProAdmyn, a real estate services venture that showed her entrepreneurial spirit. She was a go-getter with an amazing work ethic who never backed down from a challenge. But let’s not forget the other side of Jennifer, the one outside her work. She was a devout Christian, and her faith was her guiding light. She went on missionary trips and served as a Sunday school teacher. Jennifer and her husband Rob were beloved members of their church community. Jennifer and Rob both had enormous hearts and would drop anything to help and serve others.
Jennifer loved bird watching and was quite the animal lover, especially fond of the raccoons that frequented her yard in Florida. She also had a soft spot for dogs, especially Rottweilers. But what she cherished most was her family, and her extended family of friends, church, and community. She was a woman who found joy in the simplest things and created a warm, heartfelt space wherever she went.
To sum up Jennifer Tower’s life in a short obituary is an impossible task. She was more than a list of accomplishments or a collection of interests. She was an extraordinary person who led an ordinary life with grace, grit, and loads of love.
This obituary is also intended to honor Jennifer’s husband, Rob “Robbie” Tower. They were both taken from this earth too soon for all who loved them and cherished their kindness and big hearts. They lost their lives unexpectedly together on September 1, 2023. Robbie Tower was known for his infectious laugh, impish grin, and warm heart. He had an amazing sense of humor, which was often displayed when he wore silly socks, T-shirts, or funny shorts. He was loved by all as a kind, loving, generous man. He brought people together and was affectionally known as the “Mayor of Mallicoat Road” in his neighborhood, where he started community block parties to bring people together. Rob was a respected leader in his church and was leading a new church addition project at the time of his passing. He will be remembered as a genuine human being with immense integrity. Above all, he loved Christ, his family, and Jennifer–his devoted wife.
Robbie is survived by his mother Debbie, his stepfather Phil, his brother Sean, and his extended family.
The world will not be the same without them. But together, Jennifer and Rob’s kind spirits and loving legacy will live on.
A service celebrating Jen and Robbie’s lives will be held at 5 PM on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at the New Day Christian Church’s North Port Campus.
