Grandma, I am missing you terribly - Your next great-grandbaby will be here next year... I know you would absolutely love Robbie - he's getting so big and is going to make a great big brother. I wish we could be making your cookies in the kitchen together - smudge some flour on Robbie's nose <3 Love you and miss you so soo much!!! - Susan

Joani was a beautiful soul who touch our lives with enormous love, deep caring and abundant kindness, making her a truly exceptional person. Joani and Jerry were cousins but Joani loved Jerry as her little brother. And, so they had a loving banter as they did in their youth. We shared and enjoyed each others interests. Jerry and I would smile all the way while driving across Alligator Alley. We were so excited to attend opening nights at the Port Charlotte community theatre to see Joani and Tony on stage. The next day became a wonderful celebration of delicious meals made by Tony. Today, there is a Gray whale feeding in Saratoga Passage. It’s fin is up in the air as if to say “Hello.” I know Joani would be so excited to listen and watch it from Hidden Beach. My heart is heavy as I will miss her very much.

Aunt Joan was my favorite aunt. She was passionate, glamorous and vulnerable. She once sat me down in front of her vanity in her Queen’s apartment and put makeup on me years before it was deemed “appropriate”. We would share intimate secrets. I always felt safe with her. I’m grateful for her impact on my young life.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
