ohn Alan Carpenter, Sr., 75, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Sunday, August 1, 2021 at Port Charlotte Rehabilitation Center, Port Charlotte, Florida.
John was born August 28, 1945 in New York City, Queens Borough, New York to the late Edward and Emma (Wuterich) Carpenter. John was retired from the New York City Transit Authority. He moved to Port Charlotte in 2017 from Cleveland, Tennessee.
At the time of his death, he was survived by his loving family, his wife of 55 years, June Weston Carpenter of Port Charlotte, FL; two daughters, Kim Nichols of Aurora, CO and Christine Heil of Georgetown, TN; three sons, John A. Carpenter, Jr. of Port Charlotte, FL, Marc Carpenter of Salt Lake City, UT and Paul Carpenter of Port Charlotte, FL; 13 Grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
A private visitation was held Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel for family and close friends.
