John Craig Topping, 67, of North Port, Fl. died March 28, 2016. He served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, receiving the Purple Heart, worked at Eastern Airlines, and retired from Charlotte County Public Schools.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Banes Topping, of North Port; his son, Sean Topping, of Washington, D.C.; his brother, Mark Topping, of Lincoln Park, MI; and his sister Cheryl Distin, of Rocky River, OH.
