John was born May 1, 1918 in Washington, DC and moved to Port Charlotte in 1992 from there. John was a WWII veteran who served proudly for the U.S. Army. John was a fastidious thoughtful man who was at all times helping others. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.

John is survived by his companion, Betty Sharot of Port Charlotte; his niece, Carol King and her family of Colonial Beach, VA; his long time caretakers and friends, Ted and Judy Marcucilli of Ocean View, DE and Dick and Betty Dubreuil of Denver, CO and many other friends. He was preceded in death by his loving friend and companion, Vivian Dubreuil.
