John J. O’Sullivan, 92, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Monday, December 27, 2021 at his home in Port Charlotte.

John was born to Thomas and Mary Ellen O’Sullivan on November 17, 1929 in Ireland and moved to Port Charlotte in 1991 from New York. John loved horses and was an avid golfer and shopper. He was a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #11483. John was a fun and caring man who loved life to the fullest and will forever be missed by all who loved and knew him.

Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Ann; his step-son, Rich Lundewall of Port Charlotte; 2 sisters, Maria and Deloris both of Ireland; 2 grandchildren, Dustin and Erik and his nephew, Michael Brown of Manhattan, NY.

A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00AM, Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church in Port Charlotte.

My fondest memory is when I sat on John's dock with him for about an hour. We watched the water, birds & fish....and talked about several different things (one subject that surprised me). I also remember when he introduced Maryann to Bill & I....they had just started dating. He was always such a kind & considerate man....but when he was upset about something, the Irish came out and he spoke his mind. He will be greatly missed. John...I know you're healthy, walking & talking (with that Irish accent) in heaven.
