Joseph "Joe" Ralph Castaldo

November 11, 1948 - January 30, 2023

Joseph Ralph Castaldo, 74, of Punta Gorda, Florida passed away Tuesday, January 31 2023 at his home after a long, arduous battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Joe was born to Pasquale and Ruth Castaldo on November 11, 1948 in Wilmington, Massachusetts. He graduated from Wilmington High School and served in the Navy on an aircraft carrier during the Vietnam war. He worked as a Quality Systems Manager at Analog Devices in Wilmington, Massachusetts for most of adult career. He retired to Punta Gorda a happy man.

Joe was cool. He was known for his love of Corvettes and Harley Davidson’s. He loved to be out on the water and dancing with Julie. He will be missed.

He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Julie Castaldo, his two children Pat Castaldo and Kendra (Castaldo) Palomarez, his step-daughter Stacey Perras and four grandchildren; Vincenzo Castaldo, Zach Apostolos, Felix Palomarez and Sylvie Castaldo. He is also survived by his mother, Army Veteran Ruth Castaldo, now 104 years old.

Rest in peace

Joe was a wonderful guy, and a terrific friend of many years. His great sense of humor and solid common sense will be greatly missed by me. His battle with Parkinson’s Disease was a valiant one. Condolences to Julie, his kids and grandkids.

To the Castaldo family I am sorry for the loss of Joseph. I remember him as an alter boy at St Thomas' Church in Wilmington MA, where I attended with my Dad & grandmother, Hannah O'Conners. May he rest in peace and watch over all of us along with all our loved ones that have passed on to a better life.

Hi Julie and Family, so sorry to hear that Joe has passed. Julie and I send our condolences. As you know I had the opportunity to work with Joe for many years and we kept in touch during his retirement years. I considered him a good friend. I could always count on Joe to life my spirits when we talked. His wit and humor will truly be missed. I regret that I didn't get down to Punta Gorda to see you both more often.
