Karen Renee Tolbert, 59, of North Fort Myers, Florida and former resident of Port Charlotte, Florida
died Monday, August 5, 2024, at ShorePoint Health-Punta Gorda.
Karen was born February 15, 1965, in Erie, Pennsylvania. She was a U.S. Army veteran. Karen was a strong women with a heart of gold that would do anything for anyone. Karen raised 5 amazing children, she was full of life and laughter and loved her family and friends. Karen enjoyed being out on the boat with her family and knew exactly how to make everyone laugh even if the fish were not biting. Karen always did her best to provide and keep her children happy, every conversation ended with an I love and you and to the moon. Karen was the person that nobody will forget, she touched many people’s lives and will deeply be missed.
Survived by three daughters, Catherine M. Anderson of Dade City, FL, Michelle Tolbert of Port Charlotte, FL and Beth Benning of Pennsylvania; two sons, Richard L. Tobert, Jr. of Tennessee and Jonathan Tolbert of Port Charlotte, FL; 9 grandchildren and 1great grandchild.
Graveside services with military honors by a U.S. Army Honor Guard will be held Friday 1:30 PM, September 13, 2024, at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota Florida where she will be laid to rest with her husband, Richard L. Tolbert who died in 2017.
