Katherine T. Gaconi 91, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Thursday, May 4^th, 2023, at HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital in Port Charlotte.

Katherine was born December 8^th, 1931, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and predeceased by her parents John and Julia Istvan.  Katherine was a devoted mother of three and wife of the late Antonio Gaconi for 70 years.  Katherine was of the Catholic faith and relocated to Port Charlotte with her family in 1972 from North Caldwell, New Jersey.

Survived by her loving family, daughter, Linda Chelberg Burke; sons, John (Maryann) Gaconi and Tony Gaconi; 4 grandchildren, John Gaconi, Jr., Gina (Blake) Walker, Antonio L. Gaconi, and Katie Gaconi; 5 great grandchildren, Bailey Gaconi, Antonio Gaconi Jr., Charley Gaconi, Braxton Gaconi and Channing Walker.

Memorial services and interment will be held later by the family and Katherine’s final rest will be with her beloved husband Antonio at the Sarasota National Cemetery.
