Kathryn was born to Theodore and Catherine Schmitt on November 20, 1936 in New York, New York. Together with her husband of 57 years, Robert Tabet, they raised 5 children on Long Island, NY. In 1996, they moved to Port Charlotte, FL from Hauppauge, NY. Kathryn was a woman of strong faith and very active in her church. She was a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church and she was one of the founding members of the Woman’s Emmaus at the church. She enjoyed all types of crafts, puzzles, and card games. She loved to outwit, outsmart and outplay her children and grandchildren in any game. .
Kathryn is survived by her loving husband, Bob Tabet; children Robert (Marcia)Tabet, Donna (Kevin)Burckley, Steven (Natalie)Tabet, Kevin (Anastasia)Tabet and Christopher (Erin)Tabet,; grandchildren, Jacquelyn, Alyssa, Sarah, Adam, Matthew, Steven, Ryan, Kayla, Christina, and Mallory; and siblings Jean, Rita, and Theodore. Kathryn is preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Catherine Schmitt; sisters, Florence and Mary Ann; and brother Joe.
