Lauran Margaret Broomall, 63, of Punta Gorda, Florida, has on Friday, July 14, 2023, passed on to be with our Lord.

Born in South Carolina, on October 26, 1959, to Ralph George Broomall, Sr., and Celia Santiago, Lauran was an artistic, caring, and nurturing daughter, sister, aunt, mother and Grandmother, who loved her family and friends while here on this earth.  Lauran’s children are James Joseph Hughes, III, Jesse Moser; Renitta Victoria Broomall, and George (Jessica) Broomall; she is the grandmother to Oliver Broomall.  Lauran was fun loving and creative; she studied and got her degree’s in child care and special needs care for children and was a Certified Care Taker for her Uncle Don and Aunt Patty.

Lauran lived her life’s journey loving God and would always go the extra mile for those who she cared for and loved.   A beautiful person inside and out.  She cared for her Turtles, Birds and her Dog, Bolero (also known as Pooky).

Lauran is survived by her children and grandchild; her sisters, Gina (Corky) Gilliland, Sarah (John) Kersten, and Marian Broomall; brothers, Angel & Macho Rivera; her sister-in-law, Martha McKenzie; several nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts.  She will be greatly missed!  She was proceeded in death by her father, Ralph George Broomall, Sr., mother, Celia Santiago, a brother, Ralph George Broomall, Jr., and her Uncle Don and Aunt Patty Broomall.

A service celebrating Lauran’s life and committal will be held 11 A.M. on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at The Church of the Good Shepherd located at 401 W. Henry Street in Punta Gorda.  The service time has yet to be established, but will be announced when confirmed, so please return to this Tribute for updated time of service information.

The family wishes that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to The Church of the Good Shepherd.
