Laurette Marie Dumas Lainé, 93, of Port Charlotte, died August 08, 2014 at her eldest son Claude’s (Frenchie) residence in Punta Gorda.

She was born May 14, 1921 in St.Prosper, Québec, Canada and moved to Port Charlotte in 1959 along with her husband Roland and their four boys. She attended St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and was also a member of the local Canadian Club. Laurette was a homemaker who enjoyed caring for her family. She loved serving her family her delicious meat pie at Holiday time. She was a wonderful and much loved grandmaman.

She is survived by her four sons, Claude/Frenchie (Patti) Lainé, Yvan (Claudia) Lainé, Marc (Connie) Lainé, and Jacques Lainé; four granddaughters, one great granddaughter, and one Godchild. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65yrs Roland who passed away in 2006.

Private inurnment will be held at Restlawn Memorial Garden in Port Charlotte.

Memorial contributions may be made in Laurette’s name to Tidwell Hospice, Philanthropy Department.
