To the Dear Hurley Family: It was with great sadness my discovering of Larry’s passing. My friendship with Larry began when he first came to Groton, CT. He was a great asset to the Groton community for many years. Serving on the Board of Education in addition as Mayor for the Town of Groton. He was a wonderful individual and a great friend. I will miss his energy and smile. With deepest sympathy, Robert L. Zuliani, Groton, CT

Larry was always one who gave interesting stories and information about his ancestors. I remember he was so very fond of his Grandmother and that always impressed me since I also loved my Grandmother. He was the one our group ask questions about computers since he was so knowledge on computers and the software. He will be greatly missed by our group, The Round Table Discussion Group.

It has been my good fortune to have know Larry from our mutual memberships in the CCComputer and CCGenealogy and SWFLGerman Genealogy Societies. This goes back many years and over this time he has been a giving friend; always helpful to share his great knowledge in many fields and willing to take the time to help me with many problems, be they with computers, printers, and genealogy puzzles. And he always did it with an unhurried manner and with a smile. May the the good Lord give him his just reward. Art Haug

Our world and its children are better because of Larry. What an impact he had; his legacy of caring and serving through the Kiwanis clubs he belonged to is admired. Perfect attendance at meetings and always there for projects. Loved that man. As a former Lt. Governor we shared a special bond. So sorry I'll be out of state for his celebration. My prayers for the family.

I've known Larry for just eight months, he being a office holder of CCGSI and a volunteer at the Genealogy room Mid-County Library. I relieved Larry, until recently, every Thursday afternoon at the library. We often discussed the history and his memories of Castine, Maine. Larry, you are missed.

May you rest in peace Larry. You have given of yourself for many years and now it is time to rest. Others will pick up where you left off and you have left giant shoes to fill. You have been a wonderful friend and a dedicated SAR member and brother to all of the DAR ladies. I have especially enjoyed working with you and your team these past few years and sharing all the fun and comradeship at the meetings.
