Leona C. Sanders, 88, of Punta Gorda, Florida died Monday, August 31, 2021 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital, Port Charlotte, Florida.
Leona was born April 27, 1933 in Patterson, Georgia to the late Tommie and Addie Lee (Sims) Nails. She moved to Punta Gorda in 1976 from Fort Myers, Florida.  Leona was a retired private duty Certified Nursing Assistant.  She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Punta Gorda.
Survived by her loving family, three daughters, Addie Walker (Linzie); Alice Bellamy of Fort Myers, FL; Alicia Harris-Olander of West Palm Beach, FL. Three sons, Robert Harris (Glenica); Timothy Harris (Michel) of Fort Myers, FL; Jeffery Harris of West Palm Beach, FL. Two sisters, May Nails and Magdalena Elmas of Waycross, GA; two brothers, Robert Nails of Alabama and Walter Nails of North Carolina; twenty-three grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sept. 10, 2021 at Roberson Funeral Home, 215 Mary St., Punta Gorda, FL.   Funeral services will be held Saturday 11:00 AM Sept. 11, 2021 at Roberson Funeral Home Punta Gorda Chapel.  Interment will follow in the Calvary Garden Section of Fort Myers Cemetery, Fort Myers, Florida.
