Don Curcio left a message on October 4, 2007:
To the extended Wilkinson Family: my thoughts are with you. Moreover, understand that Lila is with you too. She has become part of you, now, and will remain with you forever. You will realize that today you are a little wiser … a little kinder. The new awareness that you have is Lila within you. I hope that you will come to realize that once you see past your loneliness, you are in some ways even closer to her than you were in life. Don Curcio
Sheila and Tom Simms left a message on October 4, 2007:
The death of a loved one is a curious thing. We all know that our time in this world is limited, and that eventually our time will finish. Yet, it always comes as a surprise when it finally happens to someone close. It is like walking up the stairs to your bedroom in the dark and thinking there is one more stair than there really is. Your foot falls down, through the empty air, and there is that sickly moment of dark surprise as you try and readjust the way you thought of things. It's been a very long time since I last saw Howard's Mom, but I clearly remember her and the caring she gave us when we were all too young to realize so many things...and I continue to climb the stairs. Tom
Steve Wilkinson left a message on October 4, 2007:
Mom, Grandma, maybe GG, but to me she was Aunt Lila. She raised a big, loving and passionate family. I do wish I could be there for and with you all at this time when you celebrate Her life. I'd like to get to know you again after so many years, and meet those I never knew. Oh life, it's a long and windy road but we all go home again. My best to all, especially to Howard, Tim, Mary, and Pat. With love, - Steve
