LINDA REED GRIFFIN, 67, of Punta Gorda, Florida died Friday, May 6, 2016 as a result of an automobile accident.
Linda was born August 26, 1948 in Mancelona, Michigan and moved to Florida from there in 1966. Her heart was broken with the deaths of her daughters within two years of each other.
She is at peace with them now. Her two granddaughters were her inspirations and gave meaning and purpose to her life. She loved them beyond words.
She is survived by her loving family, two granddaughters, Maranda Malnory and Angelina Griffin both of Punta Gorda; three sisters, Evelyn Louise Sleeper of Charlotte Harbor, FL, Elaine Watkins of Arcadia, FL and Lisa (Keith) Nicholson of Punta Gorda; two brothers, John Reed of Arcadia and Tony (Beth) Reed of Arcadia; two nieces, Abby Silverman and Jill Nicholson; She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Parkinson Malnory, a son-in-law, Gregory Malnory, a daughter, Jennifer Griffin, her father, John Reed and mother, Lottie Agnes Black.
Memorial services celebrating Linda’s life will be held Wednesday 2:00 PM, May 11, 2016 at Roberson Funeral Home Punta Gorda Chapel. Rev. Brian James of the Port Charlotte United Methodist Church will officiate. Inurnment will be held at later date in Charlotte Harbor Cemetery, Charlotte Harbor, Florida.
