Continue ReadingLuis was born April 21, 1929 in Cuba, grew up in Jamaica, West Indies and migrated in the U.S. in 1952 and at last moved to Punta Gorda in 1999 from Queens, NY. He was a member of the New York City Transit Retiree Association in Port Charlotte since 1999 and a member of the Health 2 U bowling league in Port Charlotte who is sponsored by Fawcett Hospital. He was a wonderful man who will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Joyce A. Crawford; 2 daughters, Avis Crawford of New York, NY and Leslie (Lou) Lonclos of Queens, NY; 2 sons, Donald (Nadine) Crawford of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Carlton Crawford of Ocala, FL; a brother, Vincent (Hazel) Crawford of Port Charlotte, FL; sister, Icylin Williams of Bronx, New York, and several other brothers and sisters all of Jamaica and Canada; 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and other relatives who reside in England.
