Lynette Emily Carthy, 62, of Punta Gorda, Florida passed away September 2, 2012 at her residence.
She was born January 6, 1950 in Trinidad, West Indies and moved to Charlotte County twenty five years ago from Boston, Massachusetts. Lynette worked for many years and retired from the Charlotte County Board of County Commissioners where she worked the Zoning Department. Member of San Antonio Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend; she will be missed but not forgotten.
Survived by her loving husband, Clyde N. Carthy of Punta Gorda; two daughters, Stacey N. Carthy and Kimberly (William) Carthy-Pierre both of Punta Gorda; two sisters, Rubena and Luscha St. Louis of Trinidad, West Indies; two brothers, Leslie St. Louis of Trinidad and Anthony Llewellyn of Fort Myers, FL; eight grandchildren, Kay-on, Dan’Asia, Dyanni, Gabrielle, Amiya, Anyla, Anairus and Jazmyne; aunts, Sr. Mirena and Ovieta ; uncles, Reynold, Ephrem, Clement, Owen and Kahlid; best friend Diane Salandy; many cousins and a host of friends.Visitation will be held Friday, September 7, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, 11:00 AM, September 8, 2012 at San Antonio Catholic Church, Port Charlotte. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte.
