Marcia Anderson, 81, of Englewood, Fl, formerly of Randolph, NY, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021 at home. She was born September 28, 1939 in Jamestown, NY to Charles and Doris Phetteteplace Rich.
Marcia was a graduate of Falconer Central School (1957) and the Doyle Beauty School in Buffalo, NY. She worked at Victor’s and Dorian’s salons before having her own shop in Ellington, NY. Above all, Marcia was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother. She was well known for her many creative talents and often volunteered for school and community functions. Family and friends fondly remember the countless holidays and grand gatherings she hosted in her beautiful and welcoming homes. Marcia’s kindness and bright personality was contagious to everyone around her, and will surely be missed.
Marcia is survived by her loving husband, James A. Anderson, and they were blessed to have celebrated their 60th Anniversary on August 24th. Also surviving are a son, Matthew Anderson and his wife Ann of Lebanon, PA; a daughter, Karen Senn and her fiance Ellsworth Textor of South Dayton, NY; granddaughter AnnaBell Anderson, two grandsons Kyle and Gavin Senn; a sister in law Cynthia Rich of Bemus Point, NY, a brother in law Allan Anderson of Pittsford, NY, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Charles Jr. and David Rich; three sisters, Mary Alice Klinger, Barbara Lawson, and Sandra Boyd; sister-in-laws Gladys Rublee and Janice Young.
There are no services planned at this time. Internment at Valley View Cemetery in Ellington, NY.
