Margaret (Maggie) M. Moerick, 79, of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away early Monday morning, December 8, 2008 at Charlotte Regional Medical Center in Punta Gorda.

Margaret was born Margaret Mary Desmond on November 1, 1929 in Bradford, Pennsylvania, the only child of the late John G. and Emma H. (nee-Hungiville) Desmond. Margaret, a retired graphic artist for Ross Martin Consultants in Dalton, Illinois, lived in Summit, New Jersey 28 years until relocating to Punta Gorda, Florida with her husband Robert (Bob) in 1996. Margaret was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Punta Gorda.

Margaret is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Robert G. Moerick of Punta Gorda; one daughter, Mary P. (Pat) Poliseo, and two granddaughters, Christina (husband Gene) Chelnokov and Taylor Poliseo, all of Port Charlotte, FL.
