Marian M. Kasch, 84, of Port Charlotte, FL went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital, Port Charlotte.
Marian was born January 19, 1928 in Gainesville, FL to Joseph and Cathalene Pratt. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Cross, Port Charlotte and also involved in the Prayer Chain ministry. She was the leader of Girl Scout Troop 699, in Sterling Hts., MI for many years before moving to Florida in 1986. She was a mentor and inspiration to many young girls. She was an avid bridge player at the Cultural Center in Charlotte County. She will be remembered by her family as a woman of great faith, intelligence and wisdom. She had great compassion for the needy and animals and taught her children to do the same. She devoted her entire life to the care of her family. She was a diligent prayer warrior.
Survived by two sons, Paul M. Kasch and Matthew (Kimberly) Kasch both of Port Charlotte; two daughters, Gayle S. Kasch of Port Charlotte and Lynn (William) Lenfest of Rochester, NH; brother, Dr. Charles (Betty) Pratt of Cuyahoga Falls, OH and sister, Cathalene (Marne) Miller of Toledo, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald D. Kasch.
A visitation will be held 2-4 P.M. & 6-8 P.M. Friday, November 16, 2012 at Roberson Funeral Home, Port Charlotte Chapel. Funeral services will be 10 A.M. Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Lutheran Church of the Cross, Port Charlotte. Rev. Kenneth Redmann will officiate.
Inurnment will be held at a later date by the family.
