Mrs. Marie Roma Demers, 82, of Punta Gorda, formerly of Commack Long Island, New York, died Thursday, May 6, 2010 in Punta Gorda.

Marie was born September 20, 1927 in the Bronx, New York. A resident of Punta Gorda since 1989, Marie, a retired employee for the Nature’s Bounty Company, was Roman Catholic.

Marie is survived by four children; daughters, Jean Demers, Diane (husband James) Marabella, and Lori (husband Robert) O’Brien; and son, Steven (fiancé Lorrie Geiser) Demers; one sister, Sally (husband Joe) Pistone, and numerous grand and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Herve T. Demers.
