Hi Margie,
I have been thinking of you lately. You have been missed here on Earth and at CCPS since you went to Heaven over a decade ago. Rest in Peace dear friend.
I worked with Margie when the school board office was on education avenue in Punta Gorda. We became fast friends and she gave me my baby shower for my son Andrew. She was so talented, making all kinds of crafts. I still have the mirror made out of kids blocks that she made for my son Andrew. I was so shocked and saddened to learn of her passing. May God comfort her family and all the friends she leaves behind.
So very sorry to hear of your loss. It was my pleasure to be able to work with Margie in the Charlotte County schools. I admired her professionalism and her talents to make crafts come alive. She was a great friend and co-worker. Sincerely, Arlene Kincaid
Marjorie was one of the craftiest ladies I know. Her talent for crafts was a special gift and I am proud to say she left me memories in one she created just for me.
I am heartbroken over the loss of one of my oldest and dearest friends. Margie has been a constant and loyal friend for the past 33 years. It's so hard to fathom not seeing her beautiful smile and hearing her warm laugh! Margie played a huge part in so many of the important milestones in my life from throwing my first baby shower to officiating my son's wedding. Margie was kind, true, selfless, loyal to a fault, and had a heart of gold! David and Debbie were blessed with a wonderful mother, and I, a friend for life. I will love her always!
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
Margie was a wonderful colleague and friend. She came to my assistance at a time when I really needed help; I will always be grateful for having her in my life.
I was blessed to have known Marjorie & will carry her in my heart & memories.
Margie had a smile everyone. May the memories of her that you cherish help bring you inner peace.
Margie was a constant presence at the main office...first at Education Avenue in Punta Gorda, then in Murdock. and I believe she was responsible for keeping the county running smoothly. Always professional, always in charge, always a positive attitude and a smile on her face. Always helpful. She will be greatly missed.
Your beautiful smile and personality were a gift to all who knew you. Rest in peace, dear Margie.
We are so sad to hear of Margie's passing. She was an amazing woman with many talents. Dedicated to her family and very hard working. Debbie and Davie always remember the good times and may our Lord give you peace and may you feel his presence as you go through this extremely hard time. We love you both and you are in our prayers.
My memories of Margie are filled with smiles. Margie had contagious laughter and was always willing to help a fellow employee. My deepest condolences.
Margie and I worked together in the Superintendent's office for about a year and five months. Margie was extremely helpful to me as I transitioned into this new position. Her knowledge of the job was extensive and she was very patient and kind as she guided me through some of the "land mines" of being a new Superintendent. I deeply appreciate all she did for me during the time we worked together
Margie lived across the street from us in Park Place. We got to know her and her mother well. She could take a scrap of material and make it look beautiful. She was as kind hearted as she was talented. We will miss her.
May the love of God give you peace.
Neil & Nancy McCarthy
I have many fond memories of Margie, her sister Jan and friends Peggy, Angie Winnie, Linda and myself spending many hours at Margie's house either while they were doing crafts or seeing the crafts they had done. Margie was one of the group who made me feel very welcome when I first began work at CCPS and I will never forget her.
We met Margie and her mother Marion when they first moved in to Park Place Estates. Your mom was so talented and she quickly became known for her crafting.
She was also a staunch Steeler fan and loved teasing us(we are staunch Brown fans) about how bad the Browns were doing. Lots of laughs over that. She was also a very loving and giving daughter and took such good care of her mother. Rest in peace Margie, you have earned a place with the angels. Condolences to your family on the untimely loss.
I will always remember Margie for her smile. We had conversations that will always be ingrained in my heart, and she did something for me that I will never forget. She will be greatly missed.
May God bless and keep her loved ones. May He comfort your grieving hearts, and magnify the good memories that you have.
Regina

We were Marge's new neighbor, in the same building at Park Place Estates. We didn't know her for very long and didn't see her very often, but enjoyed speaking to her very much when we did.We will miss seeing her when we return in the fall.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
I am saddened to hear the news of Margie's passing. Over the years I had the privilege of working with Margie while she served as the administrative assistant to Charlotte County Schools' Superintendents David Gaylor and Doug Whittaker. Few knew the school culture, the system's intrIcacies and where the skeletons were buried better than she. Most importantly, no one cared more about the students, families and employees .of Charlotte County than Margie Smith.
I'm sure Margie is wearing her Black and Gold and working on a craft project as she and Myron Cope count down the days until the season opens.
I HAVE KNOW MARGIE FOR 30 YRS. SHE HAS BEEN A GOOD FRIEND AND CO-WORKER. I WILL MISS HER BEAUTY AND HER SMART WIT. PRAYERS ALWAYS. REST IN PEACE WITH THE ANGELS.
It was with great shock and sadness that I saw Margie's obituary this morning. I was the art and music teacher at Charlotte Harbor from 1994-2012, so I worked with Margie for many years. Not only was she a terrific principal's secretary (she was the perfect person for the front desk!) but she was a friend to so many of us, always cheerful and full of life. I purchased several of her beautiful craft items over the years. She was really talented! Even though I haven't seen her in awhile, I will always remember her cheerfulness. I know you, her family members, as well as all her friends, will miss her greatly. She was truly one of a kind.
So very sorry to hear about the passing of your Mom. I pray that you find peace & comfort in the memories that you have of her.We love you, take care of each other, especially Dad.
Sending our love,
Judy, Lauren, David & Peyton
Please accept our deepest condolences for your family's loss.
