Martha A. (Goings) Flora, 73, of Port Charlotte, Florida and former life resident of Terre Haute, Indiana died after a long hard battle with acute myeloid leukemia, Friday, April 11, 2025.
She was born June 5, 1951, in Danville, Illinois to Harry LeRoy and Norma Joy (Delvallee) Goings. She was a member of New Day Christian Church in Port Charlotte and was an over 20-year member of Union Christian Church in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Martha was married to the late Larry D. Flora who passed in 2021. They had been together since their early teens and married for 52 years. Surviving is her only daughter Angie Goodman and son-in-law John Goodman of Port Charlotte. Also, her five grandsons that she was very proud of and loved dearly, Craig Goodman and wife Sara of Jacksonville, Florida, Harrison Goodman, Elijah Goodman, Isaac Goodman, and Maxwell Goodman all of Port Charlotte, Florida. Also surviving are her brother and sister-in- law John and Cynthia Goings of Palm City, Florida and special nieces and nephew Karri Houghton, Kim Flora, Beth Hill, Milana and Marianna Goings and Greg Lansaw. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Marsha Goings Zebrowski. Martha enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, traveling with her husband in their camper, putting in countless hours in her genealogy, and studying God’s word in ND’s ladies Bible study.
She will be cremated, and no services are planned.
