Mrs. Mary F. Harris, 74, of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at Charlotte Regional Medical Center hospital in Punta Gorda.
Mary was born Mary Francis Thomas on September 14, 1934 in Sullivan, Indiana to Arthur and Dorothy (nee-Ford) Thomas. An industrial engineer with RCA Records for 22 years before retiring, Mary, a winter resident of Punta Gorda since 1994, lived in Bedford, Indiana until relocating to Punta Gorda as a fulltime resident in 2005. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Women’s Auxiliary, and will be missed by her family, and friends.
Mary is survived by her beloved daughters, Diana L. Huff, Mary R. Brehob, Rhonda G. (Glen) Spears, and Cathy E. (Tony) Harrell; one brother, Arthur Ford Thomas; nine grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Dorothy, husband Richard Dale Harris, and son-in-law K. Stan Brehob.
