Mary-Linda Bond-Vera Flessas, Born April 18, 1958 in Livonia, Michigan fell asleep in the Lord June 10, 2020. She attended Hope College in Holland, Mi. and Wayne State University College of Nursing where she also worked as a research associate. She started three businesses, one in Holland, MI and Florida.
Mary-Linda was a four-time Cancer survivor, Heart valve recipient, Pace Maker recipient and brought hope to other individuals regarding survival by teaching how to become a pro-active patient. She converted from Roman Catholicism to Greek Orthodoxy and was active in the ONC and OCA Churches. She sang in the choir for two years at St. Demetrius Greek Orthodox Church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Hollywood, FL. And a continuing member of the Philocopticos. Also, a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Port Charlotte.
Survived by her family, her children, grandchildren, father, David S. Hamburger, her conure Bandit, and friends around the world. Mary-Linda’s body was laid to rest at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte June 16, 2020
