Michael was born on July 21, 1943 in Gary Indiana, to the parents of George and Ann Hallo. Michael was a proud veteran serving in the U.S. Army from 1962-1965. Michael worked and retired from the Central Intelligence Agency with a distinguished 36 ½ year career. Over the course of his career he received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Maryland. After retiring, he and his son moved to Florida in 1998 where he later met and married his wife Charlet in 2002.
Michael was known for his love of family and country, his kind and compassionate heart, and his numerous original “Michaelisms”. Spending time with family and friends meant everything to him. He loved cooking and entertaining company at home and would let everyone know when they came; they were going to have a great time.
Michael is survived and will be forever remembered by his wife of 18 years, Charlet (Brooks) Hallo; loving son Michael A. Hallo, dear sister Carol (Joel) Singer; loved uncle of many nieces and nephews; and friend to all whose lives he touched. In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Ann, and brother George Hallo.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Michael’s name. Contributions may be sent to the home.
A Celebration of Life gathering for family and friends will be held 10:30AM, Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the family home.

I want to share an email I had sent to Mike before his passing:
Mike,
The wife and I were at a dance this past week and we started to reminisce. When I think of dances and great times you are the first one I think of, man we had some good times, trench coats and all. I don’t have the words to tell you how much I appreciate you hauling me to all the dances when we were kids, great memories.
God bless you and your lovely wife.

I was hoping that Mike would have returned to the region, so we could of hung out together. But no regrets, I like to believe that overall, we both have had a good life. There is comfort in knowing Mike and I will meet again in another life.

I extend my deepest sympathy on the loss of Mike. I met him when he was an auditor and I was about to join the Finance career service. He was always pleasant and jovial to be around. Our paths occasionally crossed here and there and he always greeted me warmly. I lost touch with him over the years. May you all cherish your memories of good times with him. God Bless.

I worked with Mike from 1971 to 1986. Mike was always such a fun guy to be around. I am sorry to hear of his passing. I lost touch with Mike when I left the Audit Staff. I wish I had known he where he lived in Fl. because I had two aunts in Ft. Myers and had been down there numerous times and would have enjoyed seeing him. Again all my sympathies
