Michael James Klum, born May 7, 1976, in Punta Gorda, Mike unexpectedly passed away on March 31, 2024, at the age of 47. He attended Port Charlotte High School and graduated in 1995.
Mike had a strong passion for all things water including fishing, boating, and even picked up the sport of racing Jet Skis and within 2011 obtained his Captain’s License. Being from Florida, he quickly became an avid Gators Fan and was proud to show it. Mike spent most of his career as a truck driver and found his forever home within Southeastern Freight Lines.
Mike developed a love for motorcycles and greatly enjoyed riding with his friends while creating so many memories on two wheels traveling around Southwest Florida. He died doing what he loved.
Mike is survived by his parents Jimmy and Cheryl Klum, fiancé Christin White and son Myles White, sister Katie Klum and fiancé Scott Lahr, nieces Makayla and Lilyana, aunts and uncles Wayne and Martha Ann Brunsink, Ricky and Donna Hendrickson, Robert Hendrickson, Terry and Gail Manley, Carrie Klum, and many cousins and friends.
Mike is preceded in death by his mother Sandra Hendrickson Klum (1978), grandparents Bob and Martha Hendrickson, grandmother Norma Bent, uncle David Klum, and Cousin Jeremy Brunsink.
Mike touched so many hearts and will be greatly missed.
The Funeral service will be private. There will be a Celebration of Life at Beef ‘O’ Brady’s 1105 Taylor Road, Punta Gorda on Sunday April 14th, from 2-5pm which all are welcome to attend.
