He was born October 5, 1929 in New York, New York to the late Noel A. and Ivy Lindo Lazarus. Noel moved to Punta Gorda in 1991 from Putnam Valley, NY. He was a retired elementary school teacher. Member of San Antonio Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, American Legion NY Chapter, the Elks and United Federation of Teachers in New York.
He is survived by his loving family, his wife of 66 years, Dolores M. Lazarus of Punta Gorda; a son, Andre P. Lazarus of New Orleans, LA; a granddaughter, Emma Lazarus of New York, NY; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and identical twin, Richard Lazarus and a son, Noel Rene Lazarus.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Roberson Funeral Home Punta Gorda Chapel with a Catholic Wake Service at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday 11:00 AM, Oct. 14, 2016 at San Antonio Catholic Church, 24445 Rampart Blvd., Port Charlotte, FL 33980.
