Norman Carr
October 16, 1929 - March 5, 2010

NORMAN W. CARR, 80, of Punta Gorda, Florida died at home on Friday,
March 5, 2010.

He was born October 16, 1929 in Knoxville, Tennessee and moved to Punta
Gorda in 1971 with his family from Morrisville, Pennsylvania. Norman was a veteran
of the Korean War and retired from the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a retired mechanic
and a member of American Legion Post #103 of Punta Gorda.

Survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Mildred L. Carter; four sons,
Wayne Allen (Bonnie Jean) Carr, Darol H.M. (Lamoon) Carr, Lester M. (Linda) Carr
and Dana W. (Lori) Carr, all of Punta Gorda; two sisters, Polly Hasty of Atlanta, GA and
Marcine Martin of Knoxville, TN; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren

Private services and interment will be held at a later date.

To the Carr Family; I am sad that you have suffered the loss Of Norm. Though I haven't seen Norm in several years I still can picture him as we worked on aircraft in the hangar. I can truthfully say I looked forward to seeing him in the mornings as we planned out what we were to work on that day. He drank the hardest coffee I have ever seen made. He always put things in perspective and in a funny way. His There I was stories always shed a lighter side of the aviation business and made me laugh. I hope you will always carry the good and fond memories of Norm close in your heart. As you travel this life I hope they will lift you up and maybe bring a smile once in a while.
