Olive A. Prince, 87, of Port Charlotte Florida, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on Sunday, October 15, 2023.
Olive was born January 20, 1936, in Jamaica, West Indies to the late Vincent George Maxwell and Idean Simmons. She immigrated to the United States in 1975 and made Queens New York her home. She retired to Port Charlotte in the fall of 2000 and was a member of the Pilgrim United Church of Christ of Port Charlotte.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Sheldon O. Prince who died in 2020. Olive is survived by a stepdaughter, siblings, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Funeral services celebrating Olive’s life will be held Saturday, 10:00 AM, October 28, 2023, at Roberson Funeral Home Chapel, 2151 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, Florida. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until 10 AM. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte.
