She was born Dec. 11, 1948, in Pittsburgh, Pa., and moved to Port Charlotte with her family in 1989. She worked at the Charlotte Sun and for Daystar Communications. She was a member of the Elks Lodge No. 2153 in Port Charlotte.
Pat, whose friends called her Patty, spent her last days battling cancer. But the disease isn’t what her family will remember. They’ll remember how she was a horrible backseat driver, that John, was her favorite Beatle, how she loved to play cards and shout ‘Bingo’ and how she played air sax years before anyone strummed an ‘air guitar.’ But Pat’s true joys in life were her children and grandchildren, who will never forget her hugs, her bright blue eyes, her sense of humor or her meatballs.
She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Thomas V. Damico of Port Charlotte; son, Jeffrey (Jill) Damico of Port Charlotte; daughter, Jennifer (Scott) Wadsworth of Port Charlotte; and brother, Phil Turner of Georgia. She will be missed by five grandchildren; Davin, Tyler and Peighton Wadsworth, and Julia and Joel Damic. There will be a memorial mass at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Port Charlotte. The Rev. Father John Ludden will officiate. Friends may extend condolences to the family and sign a guest book online at www.robersonfh.com.
