Paula Anne (Michaud) Alexander, 80, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Tidewell Hospice House in Port Charlotte.
Paula was born on January 18, 1945, in Caribou, Maine to the late Louis J. and Rita W. (Martin) Michaud. She grew up in Berlin. Connecticut and graduated from Berlin High School, Class of 1963. Paula, Scotty and their son, Troy moved to Port Charlotte in 1989 from New Britian, Connecticut.
Paula was very artistic with creating and designing, from home decorating to making all her greeting cards and so much more. Her hobbies were gardening, reading, crocheting, and knitting. While she lived in Connecticut, she had her own ceramic studio, teaching her artistic gift to others and being a stay-at-home Mom. In Florida she was employed at the Charlotte County Medical Examiner’s Office for twelve years and at Roberson Funeral Home for twelve years before retiring in 2016.
Paula and Scotty were Charter Members of San Antonio Catholic Church where Paula shared her faith with teens and adults in the RCIA program.
Survived by her son, Troy Alexander of Port Charlotte; a brother, Garland Michaud of Oregon; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Scotty” Alexander, a sister, Lois Ramsay, and her parents.
A Memorial Mass celebrating Paula’s life will be held Wednesday 11:00 AM February 5, 2025, at San Antonio Catholic Church, 24445 Rampart Blvd., Port Charlotte, FL 33980. Inurnment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to the St. Vincent De Paul Society c/o of San Antonio Catholic Church.
