Pedro Juan Sierra Sr., 78, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away on May 23, 2025, in Port Charlotte, Florida.
Born in Corozal, Puerto Rico on May 19, 1947; Pedro dedicated many years of service to Fulton Paper Company as a Warehouse Foreman/Driver and later worked for the University of Delaware in Maintenance until his retirement in 2012.
Pedro was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid cook who loved nothing more than sharing his dishes with those around him. His hobbies included fishing, crabbing, and playing dominoes, activities that not only brought him closer to nature but also to the people he cherished. Pedro was a frequent attendee at the Elizabeth Ann Seton places in Newark, DE, and St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte, FL, where he shared many moments of fellowship. Pedro’s life was a testament to the love and dedication he had for his family and community, and he will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew him.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 59 years, Ramona Resto Sierra, and their children: Pedro J. Sierra Jr. (Alexandra), Donna M. Sierra, Ricardo Sierra (Diane) and co- pilot Jada, the pit bull along with step-granddaughters Jessica, Angela & Merrissa. His legacy continues through his grandchildren Pedro J. Sierra III, Emily Beattie, Alyssa Frye, and Alex Frye, and great-grandchildren Dante Hearn, Julian Sierra, Alycia Sierra, Madelyn Beattie, Audrey Beattie, Ariella Sierra, and an expected Frye baby boy in September 2025. Pedro is survived by his sister Olga Collazo (Angel). He was preceded in death by his parents, Luis and Lucia Sierra, his siblings Victor Sierra, Aida Sanchez, Ramon Sierra, Christina Otero and Carmen Resto and his great-grandson Dominic Sierra.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tidewell Hospice Inc.,6310 CAPITAL DRIVE LAKEWOOD RANCH Florida, 34202.
