Ramon A. “Ray” Fuentes, 70, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Monday, June 4, 2018 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte.

Ray was born to Ramon and Silvana Santiago-Robles on July 14, 1947 in Puerto Rico. Ray was a great man who loved life to the fullest. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served 2 tours in Vietnam during 1967 thru 1970 and a purple heart recipient. He was owner and head pastor of Centro Christiano El Calvario Church in Port Charlotte for 16 years along with his wife who is also a pastor. He loved gardening, wood working and animals but his family was his life. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.

Survivors include his loving wife of 44 years, Aida; 3 sons, Carlos and Louis Morales and Michael Fuentes, FL; a sister, Elizabeth Martinez; 3 brothers, Ralph Fuentes, Wilfredo Fuentes and Daniel Fuentes and 4 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 6:00PM-7:00PM with a service to follow at 7:00PM, Friday, June 8, 2018 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, FL.
