Randall Lee LaMar, 73, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Thursday, September 28, 2023, at HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital, Port Charlotte.
Randall was born March 17, 1950, in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late William Earl LaMar and his beloved mother, Zelma Parker-Boling. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Randall moved to Port Charlotte in 1989 from Owensboro. He was a sports enthusiast who loved watching his Kentucky Wildcats and Tampa Bay Rays. He also loved his trips to Las Vegas with his wife and friends. Randall also loved his dogs and loved spending time with his children and granddaughter. Randall loved spending time with friends at his favorite place, the All-Star Sports Grill in Port Charlotte.
Survived by his loving family, his devoted wife, Donna M. Lodato-LaMar of Port Charlotte; a daughter, Elizabeth Renee (husband-John) Johnson of Owensboro, KY; a son, Randy Martin of Owensboro, KY; a brother, Darrell LaMar of Fort Walton Beach, FL; and a granddaughter, Crystal LaMar of Owensboro, KY; and a nephew, Alex LaMar of Huntsville, AL. Randall was preceded in death by his loving Stepfather, Claude Boling, Jr.
Memorial services celebrating Randall’s life will be held Friday 2:00 PM, December 1, 2023, at Roberson Funeral Home Chapel, 2151 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, FL 33948, with military honors by a U.S. Navy Honor Guard. Memorial services will also be held at a later date in Owensboro, KY.
