RAYMOND (RAY) CAM, 86, of Port Charlotte, Florida, died peacefully Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at the Lee Memorial Health System – CCH in Cape Coral, Florida.
Born Raymond Cam on April 11, 1922 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania to the late Henry and Mary (nee-McMahon) Cam, Ray, a veteran of World War II, U.S. Army, moved to Detroit, Michigan and worked 25 years until retiring for General Motors Fisher Body Division. He moved with his wife Elizabeth from Detroit to Port Charlotte in 1983 and was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church of Port Charlotte.
Ray is survived by three children; a son, Raymond A. Cam of Chicago, IL, and two daughters, Rosemary K. Fisher of North Fort Myers, FL and Renee Bangert of Port Charlotte; three grandchildren, grandsons Ryan and Eonne Bangert, granddaughter Nichole Hasbrook, and four great grandchildren; four brothers, Francis Oak Cam of Ligonier, PA, Harry K. Cam of Greensburg, PA, Albert Abby Cam of Madina, OH, and Richard D. Cam of Shelby Township, MI; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 49 years, Elizabeth Ann Cam in 1995, and 7 brothers and sisters.
