Richard was born March 22, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Angelo and Patricia (nee Bolino) LaBarbera. He is a retired President of Metal Polishing Local Union 8A-28A of New York, NY and member of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades. Richard moved to Florida in 2004 from Hillsborough, New Jersey.
He is survived by his loving family, three daughters, Michele LaBarbera of Lakeland, FL, Erica LaBarbera of Port Charlotte and Coreen Evers of Rhinelander, WI; a step-son, Dean Gannon of Fort Myers, FL; and seven grandchildren, Richard Vetter, Louis Angelo LaBarbera, Elijah Evers,
Owen Evers, Rachael LaBarbera, Lucy Evers and Katie Gannon.
Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 3, 2017 from 1:00 PM till 2:00PM followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00PM at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. Dr. David Blood of the New Hope Christian Fellowship will officiate.
