Barbara Pohl left a message on June 23, 2011:
I remember Rich and his dedication as a Guardian Ad Litem to the "best interests" of the children he served. Rich also was a good mediator and juvenile arbitrator. He was a kind, caring individual and made sure that he gave his best to any program with which he became involved. I know he was proud of his family and loved to tell everyone about you. I am sure he will be sorely missed, and I offer my deepest sympathy for your loss.

To the family, We are deeply saddened by your loss. We are with you during this time of grief. We will cherish the memories of the times we spent with RIch working in the courtrooms. Rich was a great man, he dedicated 12 years of his life helping others find a resolution to their court disputes as a mediator. He was not only a professional in every possible way but also a kind and caring gentleman. He will be truly missed in our courthouse. Our thoughts are with you and your family. Sincerely, Susana N.
