Cummo (Erin Cummo), Ronald J. Cummo (Roseann Cummo), Kevin R. Cummo (Michelle Cummo), Billy J. Cummo (Christina Cummo), and Debora L. Cummo. He then became the proud grandfather of 12 grandchildren. In 1968 he was drafted into the United States Army to serve in the Vietnam War. While being exposed to toxic chemicals, including Agent Orange, he was still proud to serve until 1970. He then went to work in maintenance in Riverhead NY, for the Suffolk County Department of Public Works until he retired in 1998. He also served in the Army Reserves from about 1975-1985 and was part of the VFW. Not only was he the family’s provider, but he would also do anything to defend his family.
When he retired, he and Janice moved to their second home in Port Charlotte, Florida. He enjoyed the snowbird lifestyle but always kept his Long Island roots. From traveling, fishing, gardening, Call of Duty, coin collecting, tinkering around, and finding the best deals, overall, he was a proud veteran, husband, and family man.
