My heart and prayers go out to Rich's family at this time. What can I say about Rich? He was a good man who always helped when there was a time of need. His smart mouth, do it myself attitude will surely be missed by many. Although I am glad you are no longer in pain, I wish it wouldn't have been so soon. Your memory and spirit lives on in family and friends. It was an honor to know you.
Sorry to hear about your loss
Connie and Richard-
I am so terribly sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May God give you peace.
-Rachel and Corinne Raper
Connie and Richie,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
Love,
Steve and Liz
He wasn't afraid of anything, and lived life to the fullest - always! With all the daredevil stunts he loved and participated in, who would have thought that cancer would be the way his life ended? The world would be a lot more fun if everybody had his care-free attitude. God just decided it was time for him to go home! He will be dearly missed and always remembered!! Love always
Connie, Richard and family,
Brittany and I were saddened to hear of Rich's passing. He was always kind, compassionate and very helpful when needed. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers through this tough time! May God be with you and may your memories bring smiles to your face.

we are sorry to hear of the passing of rich.he was a great man and a great competitor at the rockford speedway he will be missed
sad sad day.derek and i will miss you.
So sorry to hear of Rich"s passing. I have many fun memories of his racing, stunts and day to day carefree attitude with always a ready smile. His joyful personality brightened a day.
Rich was usually having a good time at the race track and CERTAINLY was up for trying something new and dangerous whenever it presented itself. He and I got along well, although we didn't spend much time together.
I'm sorry I missed this when it happened. I hope the family has been able to find peace in his absence with the good memories he left behind.
I've got nothing but fun memories of Rich.. from the first time i met him and he slapped me upside the head to the last time i saw him shortly before he passed and he yet again slapped me upside the head. I wouldve thought he was mad at me if he wasn't making fun of me in some way. He was a wonderful fun loving man. He and Connie were like my other set of parents and I will forever be greatful for the chance to know him. He may be gone but he will never be forgotten.
Connie, Richard, and family...I'm so sorry to hear about Richie's passing. I haven't seen him in many years, ( I didn't get to visit with him when he came to SD to my mom's funeral) but reading other's comments, I remember how he enjoyed "picking on" me the last time we were together. I have thought about him over the years and wondered about how his life was going--looks like it was a good one, with many friends and family who dearly love him. Remember, he is only gone from here, not gone forever. We will see him again when it's our turn to depart this world. God bless. Pam

He was a good man and he will be missed.

Connie so sorry to hear about Rich i was on line and stumbled across this, when i was his neighbor and young then i would always try to catch the busy guy and ask him a question about my broken cars. then i grew up and could afford a real sports car he would haul it on his flat bed to storage or wherever . The last time we were together i wont forget because he was hauling my dodge viper from my house to storage and i said follow me in my truck and he said ok and when we got there he was pissed @ me because he knew a route about 4 miles shorter. he always ended up laughing about stuff and i will never forget his laugh with them squinted eyes Love you Connie Billy
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
Dear Connie and Richard,
All of us here at Omark Auto Service want to extend our deepest sympathy to you upon the loss of Rich. While we didn't know either of you or Rich personally, we feel like we have lost a good friend. Rich and you, Connie, made doing business a pleasure. On a rare occasion, Rich would do a tow for us so we could say hello, but mostly it was one of your drivers. But you were always there Connie as you were for Rich. Dispatching
drivers as quick as possible and as fair as posible. Rich would come in on once in
awhile to tell us that he needed to raise the towing prices a bit. He was very kind and
almost apologetic for having to do so. We will always miss both Rich and you Connie.
May God and your family be your comfort in the days and weeks to come. Please stop
in when you come to Rockford so you can get your hugs. We all need those daily!
Pray for Dave Lee's wife, Kay. She is going through cancer treatment now. Stage 4.
All our Love,
Gary, Dawn, Dave, Chris,
Carl, Steve, Paul.
Connie & Richard, So very sorry for your loss, Richard was a funny and great guy. Our Prayers are with you both. Joe Beck & Kathy Hulett

To a little boy he was a hero when there weren't many to be had. To that same little boy he had and always will have a SUPER HERO status. I want to be just like him and be able to fix anything, to this day I still can't keep my clothes clean cause I turn that wrench. My first meeting with Rich was when he walked passed me while I was working on a race car and goosed me and put my head through the hood! It was the first of many great memories.
Wow. I dont know where to begin. Rich was an amazing guy who always helped anyone out. I remember as a little girl watching Rich, Uncle Joe, Mike, Pauly and everyone else race. Rich always put on a show. He never walked out of any race without giving his all. He also never went out without a fight. Rich always truly put his heart in it. He always give us something to watch. Any time we needed a tow Rich was always there. He was a very strong willed, stubborn, hard headed person. But he was also the guy who had the tough- guy attitude, but was truly a big teddy bear. I always like going to rich's house when I was little. It was always fun. My brother Jesse, looked up to Rich as his father, Jesse worked in the pits with Rich and Uncle Joe it was a time hed never forget. While Jesse was in the pits I was the little girl standing on the other side of the fence waiting for Rich's trophys when he won. Always smiling because I knew I had the upper hand over the other kids because I knew Uncle Rich and he would give it to me before he gave it to someone he didnt know. Little Rich got them alot but I know I got a few:) R.I.P RICH WE WILL ALWAYS MISS YOU, WE LOVE YOU, AND NOBODY WILL EVER FORGET. If you guys need anything please let us know we love you all lots and you are in our prayers<3<3
My favorite time with Rich was when we went to the river boat in Sioux City. We were able to spend some quality time together. We had time to just sit and visit about nothing or anything that came to mind.
I love you and will miss you very much. I do hope that you are not in pain and are at peace now. I promise to keep in touch with your lovely wife Connie and keep an eye on her.
Our prayers are with you and your family.
Love always
Toni
