She was born August 19, 1917 in St. Louis, Missouri and moved to Port Charlotte in 1977 from there. Mrs. Cooper was a graduate of St. Louis University. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Port Charlotte and a former member of the Charlotte Harbor Yacht Club. In St. Louis she was a Charter Member and Past President of St. Anthony Medical Center Auxiliary, where she was a former organizer and Chairperson of the Gift Shop.
Survived by three sons, William H. (Kathleen) Cooper of Chevy Chase, MD, Thomas M. (Jenny) Cooper of Koloa, Hawaii and Randy V. Cooper of Port Townsend, WA; 2 granddaughters and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Henry T. Cooper, who died in 1999.
