Rita L. Sgriccia,64, It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Rita Louise Sgriccia, who passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025, in Port Charlotte, Florida.

Rita was born in Detroit, Michigan to the late Marie Theresa and Mario T. Sgriccia. She was the 7th of 8 children born to Mario & Marie Sgriccia. Rita was a caring person who never let the challenges she faced in life get in her way. She loved spending time with family, caring for children and being with friends.

Rita will be deeply missed by her siblings, Vicki (Bill), Tom, Jim (Val), Bill (Mary Anne), John (Sue), Mia (Marty) and Joe. She was loved by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. We love you, dear Rita. You are forever in our hearts.

The family will be holding a private memorial service in Michigan. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Neurofibromatosis Foundation(CTF.org/ways-to-give/).
