Robert B. Jaggard Jr., 93, of North Port, Florida passed away on November 28, 2023 in his home.

Bob was born February 16,1930 to the late Robert Bertram Jaggard and Alva (née Messinger) Jaggard. He went to Haddonfield High School where he played football.  Bob went on to play college football for Pennsylvania Military College. He graduated from PMC and went to Korea as a Second Lieutenant. He married the late Marie Jeanette Ross on December 29,1951. His first child, Katherine, was born April 15, 1953 while Bob was still in Korea. When he returned from the war the small family settled in NJ where he worked over the years as a Civil Engineer. His most enjoyable contract came when he was offered the job of head engineer to build the Blue Marsh Dam in Reading PA. Bob enjoyed helping to coach his sons’ little league teams as well as playing golf throughout most of his adult life. He also went to great pains to put together a comprehensive Jaggard family history. Bob and his late wife Jan retired to Florida back in 1999.

Survived by his loving family, Katherine McCrory of Elkridge, MD, Thomas Jaggard of Moorestown, NJ, Steven Jaggard of Queens Creek, AZ, Michael Jaggard of Port Charlotte FL and Kris Kaplan of North Port, FL; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

A military interment will be held later next spring in Sarasota FL. Memorial Contributions can be made in Robert’s memory to Alzheimer’s’ Research.
