Born September 11, 1921 in Rutledge, Pennsylvania, Robert, a veteran Naval Aviator of World War II and retired Corporate Executive for the Jenkins Brothers Valve Company of 100 Park Avenue, New York City, wintered in Port Charlotte from 1973 until becoming a permanent resident in 1986, moving from Wilton, Connecticut. He was a member of the B.P.O. Elks and Masons.
Survivors include his beloved children, daughter Nancy Clarson (husband-William F.) Kruse of Long Island, NY and Port Charlotte, FL, and son Robert L. Clarson III of Long Island, NY; two grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and companion Ann Hayes of Port Charlotte. He was preceded in death by his wife, Julie B. Clarson in 1998.
