ROBERT ” BOB” D. CLYMER, 92, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Friday,
April 30, 2010 at Harbour Health Center, Port Charlotte.
He was born November 23, 1917 in Westerville, Ohio to Frank and
Eva (Freeman) Clymer. He graduated from Ohio State University in 1939 and
married his wife, Helen (Dick) Clymer in November of 1940. They moved to
Port Charlotte in 1981 from Westerville. Bob was active member of the Lions Club
for 65 years, a Melvin Jones Fellow and a member of the Port Charlotte Lions Club, active member of the Port Charlotte United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Men.
Bob enjoyed working in his yard and helping his neighbors.
He is survived by his loving family, wife of 69 years, Helen M. Clymer of
Port Charlotte; a daughter, Ann (Harry) Peat of Westerville, OH; a son, Paul (Jan)
Clymer of Canfield, OH; four grandchildren, David Peat, Brian (Jennifer) Peat,
Christopher Clymer and Traci Clymer; one great granddaughter, Isabella Peat.
Memorial services will be held Thursday 2:00 PM, May 6, 2010 at the Port Charlotte
United Methodist Church. Rev . Brian James will officiate. Inurnment will be at
a later date in Oakland Cemetery, Bucyrus, Ohio.
